The six regional hub leader schools are encouraged to develop networks of social work schools in their region to further local impact through collaborative research, state- or region-wide curriculum enhancements, and policy advocacy. There are currently regional networks in the New York-New Jersey area and in the greater Los Angeles area of California. These networks and their members are described below. Network development activities are also underway in other regions.

New York-New Jersey

As a model for other regions, the National Center established the New York-New Jersey regional network. This network is now co-led by Hunter College, the University at Albany,  and the University at Buffalo. If your NY- or NJ-based school of social work is interested in joining in this regional network, please contact Amanda Aykanian at aaykanian@albany.edu or Dr. Elizabeth Bowen at eabowen@buffalo.edu.
